Students of architecture, design, fashion, and art in Lithuania are invited to take part in the design competition for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) trophy.

This is an opportunity to work on a real, Europe-wide brief and to contribute to the first physical award that will continue to represent the initiative internationally for years to come.
The European Commission-initiated competition is seeking a concept for an object that embodies the New European Bauhaus values of sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.
The proposed design may be classic or unconventional – a cup, a medal, or an entirely original and unique conceptual object. Most importantly, it should clearly communicate a perspective and function as a meaningful symbol.
Ten selected finalists will receive expert consultations and support to develop a prototype. Their works will be presented in 2026. at the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels, with travel and accommodation costs covered.
The trophy will be produced by 2026 for the NEB Awards ceremony in autumn 2026, where creators from across Europe are honoured.
Applications are accepted until 2026 31st of January.
The New European Bauhaus is a European initiative that seeks to bring together sustainability, aesthetics, and social responsibility in everyday environments.
Participation in its projects enables creators to work in a real-world context, gain international experience, and contribute to solutions that generate long-term cultural and societal value.
